Practice, practice, practice

This site has several news stories from CNN with corresponding exercises on vocabulary, reading comprehension, sequencing and conclusion. Try to do as many as possible.

Another excellent site that has 50 quizzes with ten questions each and also provides the answers is this one. Some of the questions resemble the items you find in our departmental exam.

You might have seen the previous links on the side bar on the right. They are really helpful to practice reading and vocabulary.

You can also go to Prof. Juan Pino´s site where there are 200 articles for extensive reading. They have no exercises but you could read them to then write the main idea in your own words for each, or even read them with a classmate and then compare your answers.

Jajaja que creativos los que hicieron este blog y los que introducen ejercicios constantemente aqui, hay para todo tipo de lectores, miles formas de practicar.Este ejercicio sirve tanto para los examens de la profe como para los departamentales, lo que mas me gusta es que todos se relacionan con lo que siempre hacemos en clase y lo que nos colocan en los examenes

Hi José Francisco and María Fernanda,
I am glad you found the exercises helpful.
By the way, I am the one who writes the posts in this blog for all my students. It is not a blog from the department but our personal blog for sections 6 and 12.
Is there any topic you would like me to cover here?
